The Devils Rejects

I could not be more happy with this movie, ever since the fist Rob Zombie movie I couldn’t wait for the second film. I loved the overall dark gremmie 70's look to the film and the way it felt like an old horror movie. the way Zombie made this film made you feel almost sorry for the murders and I found it hard to root on for the good guys. I also liked the cameras they used it made you fell like you where there and made the movie even more real than it already felt.
I hope that rob Zombie makes more films, because I think he is a extremely talented director.

this movie gets a well deserved 10/10

Serenity

Before you start reading this, you have to know where I'm coming from. I'm a huge fan of Joss Whedon's work, and was a loyal follower of 'Firefly' (on which this movie is based) and the whole browncoat phenomenon as well. So I was, you might just say, pretty much predestined to like this movie. But, not so. Whedon-fans are a pretty critical bunch, most of the time, and no one went into this thing with higher expectations than me. And to have those expectations be met in such a way as Serenity does, is very special indeed.
The movie itself has all the elements that make Joss Whedon's work so very unique. The sense of humor, the wonderfully realized characters and their strong interpersonal bonds, masterful dialogue and emotional pain, everything is present. I pretty much went through the entire emotional spectrum watching this movie, and that's not something you might expect from 'just another sci-fi movie'.
If you're not into Whedon's work, or even if you're not into sci-fi in general, this is going to be a movie worth watching. Ignore the whole 'geek movie' hype that'll undoubtedly surround the release. Ignore the hype created by Whedon-fans such as myself. Simply go see it with an open mind and be prepared to be blown away. Because when Whedon works his magic, everyone has to pay attention.

Waking Life

I think this is one of the most thought-provoking films I have ever seen; an independent film written and directed by Richard Linklater called "Waking Life". This film had a great impact on my life, and I honestly believe that it has the potential to greatly affect the open-minded viewer. Not only is it a revolutionary work of art visually, but the ideas expressed within it, along with the amazing soundtrack, elevate this film to a completely new level. I alone telling you what this movie is about is simply not enough you must go out and experience this masterpiece for yourself, in order to grasp the underlining theme of this movie..

I give this movie an easy 10/10.

Grass (1999)

I'm pretty sure this has to be one of the most well made, enjoyable and successful documentaries I've ever seen in my life. If you get a chance to watch "Grass" don't make the mistake of missing it. You will naturally love it if you're a sworn pothead but I think people who are strongly against cannabis should be the first ones to check this one out. "Grass" may not change your opinions about the stuff but it will probably give you some new views to look at it. Best of all, incredibly interesting archive material makes "Grass" funny, fascinating and entertaining experience for everyone. Those final words (Just before the credits) are just terrific! Basically "Grass" tells how much money war against marijuana has cost and raises the big question: was it really all worth it? I think not. Watch "Grass" yourself and make up your own mind.

I give this moive a 10/10 !!!

Pirates of Silicon Valley

This entertaining look at the story of the from-the-get-go rivalry of Apple founder Steve Jobs (Noah Wyle) and Microsoft pioneer Bill Gates (Anthony Michael Hall) provides equal parts laughs and insight, set to an energized soundtrack. Told from the points of view of Jobs's and Gates's collaborators--Steve Woziak and Paul Ballmer, respectively--the film intelligently charts each camp's bumpy ride from garage experimentation to industry domination.
-----------------------------------------
I thought this movie was great, especially the soundtrack, although with my personal feelings about Microsoft. I found myself still really liking this movie; especially when they put to life legendary stories people in the computer industry only wish they could of been a part of..

This film gets a 7/10 stars!!

Fantastic Four

Fantastic Four (2005)

Directed by
Tim Story

With actors like Michael Chiklis I thought this movie would be very good considering he is one of my favorite up in coming actors. Even his acting could not save this movie from the very crappy CGI throughout the movie. I for one do not like a lot of special effects I care more about a really strong and well thought out plot, although I do have to say this movie does follow the comic book version very well. But they don’t really give you a very good reason of the events that unfold which was one of my main problems with the movie. I also thought that Jessica Alba overacted her part which made this movie look very bad and unwatchable. Although I did like the comic relief from Chris Evans character, I think he may have gone over board a little bit.
But on the other hand if you like sci-fi type movies that have a lot of action and CGI then you might like this movie, but for me I cannot give this movie a good rating

This movie gets a disappointing 5/10 stars....

Requiem for a Dream

Requiem for a Dream (2000)

Directed by
Darren Aronofsky

Drugs. They consume mind, body and soul. Once you're hooked, you're hooked. Four lives. Four addicts. Four failures. Doing their best to succeed in the world, but failing miserably, four people get hooked on various drugs. Despite their aspirations of greatness, they succumb to their addictions. Watching the addicts spiral out of control, we bear witness to the dirtiest, ugliest portions of the underworld addicts reside in. It is shocking and eye-opening but demands to be seen by both addicts and non-addicts alike.

I Have to say I love this movie soooo much for so many reasons. The first thing I have to point out is the score in this movie, and sound effects. The mind trance that the wailing violin plays is fantastic, also I would like to point the camera work done by Darren Aronofsky he is truly a great director and I cant wait to see more of him..

This film get an easy 10/10 stars
